The Shell Crustal Imaging Facility (SCIF) is a workstation client-server computing environment located in SEC E124. Its mission is to assist the School of Geology and Geophysics (SG&G) faculty members (and their staff and students) in research and teaching. SCIF's capabilities are focused in seismic and seismic-related areas. In particular, its domain of activity currently includes the areas of seismic exploration, reservoir geophysics, ground penetrating radar data processing and interpretation, and structural modeling.

The 3-D Seismic Lab is part of SCIF and is used primarily in teaching laboratory sections of formal geophysics courses taught within the SG&G.
